Tips to survive working from home
- You must strike the right balance, prioritise your to-do list, and remain motivated. The pandemic has messed your previous schedule, and you need a new one to thrive. Make a list of daily tasks early in the morning with small breaks in between. Do not overwork yourself.
- You need to figure out your workspace at home based on how it makes you feel. Set up a chair and a table as slouching will take a toll on your posture. Having a workstation will help you get into the right mood.
- Try to take a creative break. Trying Yoga, freehand exercise, or a new dance routine – any way of keeping your body active during this period can help you rejuvenate. Do not give up just because you are not a pro; you will get better at it.
- Constantly working will make you a bundle of nerves. You need to unwind by catching up on your family and friends. Social distancing does not imply emotional distance. - If you want to remain inspired, try something new. It could be anything like cooking, painting, or redecorating your room – the possibilities are endless.
- It is important to feel grateful for what you have. Notice the small things and be grateful for them.
- Take this time to introspect and retrospect, if you want to process your emotions in a better way, keep a journal. Allow yourself the freedom of choosing things, if you want to binge-watch FRIENDS the whole weekend, do so without guilt and make up for it later.
