FEEL MY PAIN BY KURT VILE

FEEL MY PAIN BY KURT VILE
Indrasish Banerjee

Kurt Vile is a singer and songwriter and he released his album “Wakin on a pretty daze” with seven tracks earlier this year. The whole album was very well-received especially the track “Feel my pain”. Among other tracks, this particular song has acquired ratings of 3.5/5.0 since the time it was released in March 2013. Although the other tracks of this album are pretty much the traditional Kurt style with a lot of hip-hop and rapping but this particular track is something different from the list. This song includes whiff of Thom Yorke, haunting guitar plucks and twitchy rhythms but still no one says that it doesn’t sound like Kurt. As this song starts, it adds a certain Philadelphian vibe to the lyrics and music and as it gradually goes on, it feels fresher with electronic layering with piano and guitar. Until you reach to the end of the track, it makes you completely forget how it started and you just agree to the end of the song.
